Run Routes and Map

Route Descriptions

The Blueshore Mother’s Day Run Route consists of 3k, 5k and 10k courses that take place in beautiful Stanley Park and the Coal Harbour Seawall.  All 3 routes start at Second Beach in Stanley Park on the Seawall adjacent to Ceperley Field with English Bay as the backdrop, and finish at the Westin Bayshore in Coal Harbour.

All 3 Routes

Start

All 3 routes share the same start and finish, and also share the same first and last kilometer of their respective courses.  The start for all participants is on the Seawall Path adjacent to Ceperley Field in Stanley Park.  All participants will start here and head south along the seawall toward English Bay for 400m then connect to the upper pathway and loop back to Ceperley Field.  Once back at the east Ceperley Field pathway intersection (approximately 1km into the course), the 10K participants and the 3K+5K participants will travel in different directions (see individual course descriptions)

Finish

All 3 routes (3K, 5K and 10K) will merge at the circular pathway intersection at Devonian Park (fun Aid Station located here!) then travel easterly along the Coal Harbour pedestrian pathway for 1km to the Finish Line on the east side of the Westin Bayshore.

Individual Routes

10K

After completing the first kilometer and arriving at the Ceperley Field pathway intersection (see above for “Start” description), the 10K participants will turn left (north) on the pathway that passes by the rear of the Second Beach Concession and Second Beach Pool and merge on to the Stanley Park Seawall pedestrian path. From here the participants will circumnavigate Stanley Park on the seawall passing by Third Beach, Siwash Rock, Zeus Beach, Prospect Point, under Lion’s Gate Bridge, Spray Park (Aid Station location), Lumberman’s Arch, Brockton Point Lighthouse, Nine O’Clock Gun, Harry Jerome Statue, and the Vancouver Rowing Club to the circular pathway intersection at Devonian Park where 10K participants will merge with the participants from the 3K and 5K events for the final 1km of the route to the Finish (see above for "Finish" description).

5K

After completing the first kilometer and arriving at the Ceperley Field pathway intersection (see above for “Start” description), the 5K participants will carry on straight (East) under the tunnel beneath Stanley Park Drive on the path that leads to Lost Lagoon.  Upon arriving at the first “T” intersection, participants will turn right and travel on the paved pedestrian path that parallels Lost Lagoon (keeping counter-clockwise).  Once the participants have arrived at the east side of Lost Lagoon, where Alberni Street intersects (just before the tunnel under West Georgia Street), participants will veer left and complete a loop of Lost Lagoon on the Lost Lagoon Path traveling in a counter-clockwise direction.  Once the participants have reached the northwest corner of Lost Lagoon, participants will turn left and over the small bridge that will place them back on the pathway where they have already run to complete their loop of Lost Lagoon.  Upon arriving back on the east side of Lost Lagoon for the second time (where Alberni Street intersects), participants will carry on straight (do NOT veer left) and under the tunnel beneath West Georgia Street to the circular pathway intersection at Devonian Park where participants will merge with the participants from the 10K event for the final 1km of the route to the Finish (see above for “Finish” description).

3K

After completing the first kilometer and arriving at the Ceperley Field pathway intersection (see above for “Start” description), the 3K participants will carry on straight (East) under the tunnel beneath Stanley Park Drive on the path that leads to Lost Lagoon.  Upon arriving at the first “T” intersection, participants will turn right and travel on the paved pedestrian path that parallels Lost Lagoon (keeping counter-clockwise).  Once the participants have arrived at the east side of Lost Lagoon, where Alberni Street intersects (just before the tunnel under West Georgia Street), participants will carry on straight (do NOT veer left – only the 5K route does this) and under the tunnel beneath West Georgia Street to the circular pathway intersection at Devonian Park where participants will merge with the participants from the 10K event for the final 1km of the route to the Finish (see above for “Finish” description).
